Les Crowder, Master Beekeeper

Honeybees know how to live all through the seasons of the year. They expand and swarm in the

spring, store and preserve food all summer, contract in the fall and cluster and minimize consumption

in the winter. Beekeeping I teaches about the basic biology of honeybees and flowers. We will

also build topbar beehives and learn how to move combs full of bees without getting stung.

pollen that the bees have made in the hive, and how to make sure the bees needs are taken care of.
